The Challenge
DailyPay is the leading earned wage access platform in the United States, giving workers on-demand access to pay they've already earned — a financial tool with particular significance for hourly and frontline workers, many of whom live paycheck to paycheck.
DailyPay is the leading earned wage access platform in the United States, giving workers on-demand access to pay they've already earned — a financial tool with particular significance for hourly and frontline workers, many of whom live paycheck to paycheck. With millions of users accessing their wages through DailyPay's website and mobile app, accessibility wasn't just a compliance requirement — it was a product equity imperative.
As DailyPay expanded its footprint internationally, the compliance picture grew more complex. In the United States, ADA Title III exposure for digital products was an ongoing concern. In Europe, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) — with enforcement beginning in June 2025 — required that digital financial services meet accessibility standards across EU member states. DailyPay needed a partner who could address both frameworks within a single, coordinated program.
For a platform whose entire value proposition is financial empowerment, inaccessibility was a direct contradiction of mission. A worker using a screen reader who cannot navigate the app to access their earned wages is being denied the very benefit their employer has offered them.
The Inclusive Web Solution
Inclusive Web designed and delivered a dual-framework accessibility program for DailyPay — addressing ADA Title III requirements for the US market and EAA compliance obligations for European operations within a unified WCAG 2.1 AA framework.
Our team conducted human-led audits of both the DailyPay public marketing website and the core mobile app experience — evaluating every critical user flow against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria, which underpins both the ADA and EAA standards. We developed prioritized remediation roadmaps for each platform and verified every fix before sign-off.
Human-led WCAG 2.1 AA audit of the DailyPay public website, covering marketing, onboarding, and support flows
Mobile app accessibility audit across iOS and Android, evaluating the core earned wage access experience end-to-end
Dual-framework compliance mapping — ADA Title III (US) and European Accessibility Act (EU) addressed within a single program
EAA readiness assessment with timeline mapping against the June 2025 enforcement deadline
Prioritized remediation roadmap by platform, user impact, and jurisdictional risk
Developer-ready remediation guidance for both web and native mobile environments
Fix verification — every resolved issue confirmed working before sign-off
Real-user testing with testers who identify as disabled, validating the earned wage access experience across screen readers, keyboard navigation, and voice control
Ongoing monitoring to maintain compliance across both platforms as DailyPay scales internationally
Real-User Accessibility Testing — In Financial Services, the Stakes Are Higher
Inclusive Web validated DailyPay's website and mobile app with testers who identify as disabled and rely on assistive technologies daily — including screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), keyboard-only navigation, and voice control. In financial services, accessibility isn't just about usability — it's about ensuring every customer can manage their money, access their accounts, and make informed financial decisions with full independence.
The Result
WCAG 2.1 AA compliance achieved across both the DailyPay website and mobile app
ADA Title III legal exposure substantially reduced across US digital products
EAA readiness achieved ahead of the June 2025 enforcement deadline, protecting DailyPay's ability to operate in EU markets without interruption
The complete earned wage access experience — from onboarding through wage access to support — accessible to users relying on assistive technologies
Real-user testing confirmed that workers with disabilities can access their earned wages with full independence, on both web and mobile
Ongoing monitoring program in place to maintain compliance as DailyPay expands to new markets and adds product features
"Our mission is to give every worker financial flexibility and control. Inclusive Web made sure that mission is truly for every worker — including those who rely on assistive technologies to use our platform."
